Here at the Gove Group we strive to raise the standard. Doing so makes us a better company and better people. To us, part of raising the standard includes giving back to our community and those in need. This year The Gove Group’s agents banded together to adopt a local family to give them an entire Christmas and donated on behalf of the owners to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
Adopted Family Christmas
Thanks to our in-house trainer and Resale Manager, Mike McKenney and his daughter Jackie, us Gove Groupers were able to put on an entire Christmas for a local family in need. We wanted to give this single mother of two teenage boys the best Christmas they could ever dream of. As a team we came together to buy them a Christmas tree, skirt, topper, ornaments, basic everyday necessities, non-perishable food items, gifts, gift cards, fully stuffed stockings, food and toys for their cats, and the fixings for a Christmas dinner. All items were delivered to the family on December 22nd by Mike and his daughter. Mike said after dropping the gifts off on Wednesday, “The mom was overcome with so much emotion when she saw the amount of gifts that were coming through her door. If ever I have felt pride, today was a top ten day in the pride category. I was honored to represent all of you to our adopted family. At this time I am feeling very blessed to be a Gove Grouper.”
St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry
As a gift to our amazing owners, everyone participated in a group gift to donate money to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry in Exeter, New Hampshire. The group raised $1,243.95 for the pantry and presented it at our annual Christmas party. Scott, Patty, Elizabeth, Colton, & Kelly were thrilled to see their agents and employees come together in support of those in need in our local community. St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry distributed 336,130 pounds of food in 2020 and served 2,344 individuals and families.
We here at The Gove Group want to wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a wonderful New Year! We hope if you have the chance you try to give back to your community in any way, whether it be donating food and gifts or volunteering your time. The pride that charges you and the smile that fills your face is what the true spirit of Christmas is all about. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, and a special thank you to our agents who came together for our community. Our hearts are full as we go off to celebrate with our families.
Thank you for contacting us. We will be in touch as soon as possible.
