We sat down with Evan Young who, from first getting his license for NH real estate in 2018 to now, has skyrocketed to success. Now a two-time Top Producer, we want to know how he’s done it, why he chose The Gove Group, and what advice he has for other agents looking to replicate his success.
I first got my license in April 2018 and did a brief stint at Keller Williams Realty. I realized that I wanted a more local feel with more resources and I got that with The Gove Group. I love knowing who I’m working for and supporting a family-owned business.
I started working at The Gove Group in October 2018.
I am licensed in NH and I specialize in residential & multi-family homes. I have a special interest in first-time homebuyers. If you can provide them with a great buying experience the first time, they will recommend you to others and will hire you again in the future. I also enjoy sharing what I know with first-time homebuyers, like house hacking which can be very beneficial for growing wealth through real estate.
The real estate market has gone up considerably and house hacking allows buyers to purchase a multifamily home like a duplex, live on one side, and rent out the other. This way you essentially have someone else paying your mortgage. This can be a great way for first-time homebuyers to find success and stability when purchasing their first home.
I wanted to help buyers find financial success through real estate, whether that is through house hacking, buying a single-family home to free up rental property, or even purchasing a condo for the low-maintenance benefits.

The pandemic created a lot of uncertainty - I spent that time networking and getting to know people in the community. Once 2021 came around and people realized that the real estate market was still going strong, I had a network of people reaching out.
The dedicated in-house marketing team is a game-changer. I have two full-time team members that help me with my marketing needs so that I can focus on going out and getting sales.
Video is the future. I almost always use 3-D tours and drone video to sell my homes. In some homes, I’ll even do a video walkthrough. I think more agents should be utilizing this resource.
My biggest piece of advice is to get out and network. Real estate is about people first, and product second. Meet people in your community and connect with them as a person and you’ll find people will start reaching out to you. The book Sell It Like Serhant: How to Sell More, Earn More, and Become the Ultimate Sales Machine by Ryan Serhant was a great resource for getting started. I highly recommend it.
A lot of great things happened in my personal life, so from a real estate perspective, my only goal was to survive. But it turned out that I achieved the same amount of sales in 2022 as in 2021, just with a smaller volume. I won Top Producer again and I’m one of the Top 3 resale agents here at The Gove Group.
My ongoing goal is to become one of the Top 10 Gove Group agents overall, but other than that I’ve been very interested in figuring out how to market foreclosures. Elongating the lifespan of a home, and investing in neighborhoods, is great for society and I want to be a part of fulfilling that.
